This was the only class at UMCP in which I got a C. She was very informative and know her things, but a lot of studying outside the classroom is needed for all the electron pushing. Took this class back in 2007, and her pace of teaching is comparative to my prof.s now (I'm in pharmacy school). She'll definitely keep you on your toes...
great class I've taken so far in UMD! courses were always lively and never dull! Her review sessions and office hours are very accommodating especially if you go with specific questions. Though not everybody does well on her exams, her curves are amazing!
Dr. Dixon is an amazinggggg prof.. She does so much for her students. Yes, her exams are very difficult but you will not regret taking her class if you want to learn and not just pass with a letter grade. I would suggest recording her courses, listening to them & re-writing your notes. Do all the wrkshts she gives & old practice exams.
Very challenging teacher, but knows her things. You MUST study every single day to be able to keep up. Moves quickly (with subject matter and the way she teaches in class). If you need help, GO DIRECTLY TO HER her in office hours (great and most efficient way). If you aren't really into science/not taking Orgo 2, take another teacher!
really difficult but simple class if u you exactly what she tells you to do.
Very effective and intelligent chem prof. I recommend taking her for chem.
Had her for gen chem and got an A. However, there are things she says in lecture that just go over my head, and I'm finding myself struggling in orgo. Nevertheless, I find her to be very accommodating if you attend office hours, and she is generally a friendly lady. |
